It was an NYC sign that simply read, “Hey New York, the GOAT is on CLB.” Though it’s safe to assume the “GOAT” in question is Brooklyn native Jay-Z, some wondered if Drake was hinting at a Nas feature, or perhaps one from his frequent collaborator and former Young Money label mate Nicki Minaj.

Tidal's chief content officer Elliott Wilson confirmed the image as the album's official cover on Twitter. It was also shared by OVO Sound, the record label cofounded by Drake and his longtime producer, Noah "40" Shebib.

The wait for a new Drake album is now over. Drake has finished work on Certified Lover Boy and it comes out in mere hours.
He doesn’t have to be, but it seems as if that at least on some level, he desires to be respected as an elite emcee. The asterisk around his name has made him a contentious selection in the best bars conversation, though loyal fans can and have made compelling cases in his honor. Therefore, when reports first surfaced that Drizzy was looking to take a more lyrically driven approach to his upcoming album, many were cautiously optimistic. The notion gained further momentum when Ebro Darden claimed to have heard that Certified Lover Boy was a “straight-up rap album.”
The tees are a collaboration with Nike and follow the rapper's first Certified Lover Boy collection that was released in 2020, and included everything from padded jackets, tees, hoodies, socks, and more. At front, the shirts feature a small Nike Swoosh logo adorned with a rose print in white and pink.
But that wasn’t all. Drake also put up the phrases from the tees on a pair of billboards in Toronto. Drake’s first CLB x Nike merch drop was released back in 2020 and has since sold-out.
The billboards feature the same CLB logo in yellow in the middle overlaid with one red rose that appeared on a run of Nike items that dropped in the fall from Nike, including sold-out hoodies, t-shirts, socks, hats and puffer jackets.
