Unit 1: Objectives

The first unit in our class is largely about laying the foundations for the modules that will follow this one. As such, here are the key objectives that you will accomplish as you work through unit one.

• Develop an understanding of what screencasting is and some of the ways it is commonly used by educators
• Explore some tools for screencasting and pick one that meets your needs
• Investigate options for online video storage and select one to use for this class
• Create a baseline screencast to demonstrate you can use the tool you chose and are able to submit it via a cloud storage provider
