Tools for Screencasting

One of the great things about screencasting is that it can be done on almost any modern device. So, it doesn't matter if you  have a Mac, a PC, a Chromebook or an iPad.

There is free software for all of these devices that will let you record your screen quickly and easily. In this class, you can choose the tool you want to use. I will make some suggestions, but you are free to choose the best option. 

Below, you will find a list of devices. Click on the one you are more likely to use when creating your screencast, then watch the videos and/or read the instructions to get familiar with how to make a screencast on your device.

Note: This is not an exhaustive list of tools. If you know of one that is not on this list and you want to use that instead, please feel free to do so. There are several options for each platform. Choose the one that you think will work best for you in this class, and feel free to explore different tools as the weeks go by.
