Create a Screencast

In the next module, we are going to dig in and learn some screencasting tips and tricks in the next module, but for now, all I am asking you to do is to create a baseline screencast. I want you to teach me something with the magic of screencasting.

It can be related to something you teach in your classroom if you want, or just something that you have been dying to share with someone else. No pressure. The aim of this task is just to get you familiar with using a screencasting tool.

If you need inspiration before starting, read: What Makes a Good Tutorial Video Links to an external site.. TechSmith wrote this article, so it mentions some of their software, but the overall themes are still very good and worth taking to heart.

Success Criteria:

• Create a screen recording that is 2-3 minutes in length.
• Teach me how to do something on your computer
• Upload the video to YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive and make sure the sharing permissions are correct so that I can view your video :)
• Submit the link to your video by clicking the button on this page
