Unit 4: Objectives

In this unit we take some time to drill down and examine some of the ways that video can be used to help improve teaching and learning in the classroom. You will likely have heard of many of the teaching environments that are discussed here. You may have tried some of these methods, or you might even be teaching using one of these instructional strategies right now. The important part of this unit is just to reflect on some of these classroom environments and to think about how you can use video with your students. Here are the objectives.

• Participants will become familiar with different instructional environments for using video 
• Participants will create a video that could be used in one of these instructional environments
• Participants will explore ideas on how students can better engage and learn from video
