Screencasting With Paid Products

I won't be spending much time on tools you have to pay for, simply because I want everyone to have an easy entry point where they can learn the basics without having to worry about cost. Premium tools also add a layer of complexity that not everyone will be ready for right now, and many people never use anything more than a free tool because it does everything that they need.

When you pay for screencasting software you get additional functionality that you don't get in the free software. Are these features nice to have? Absolutely! Do you need them?
