Chiara Lubich - L'Amore vince tutto, il film diretto da Giacomo Campiotti, ripercorre l’avventura spirituale di una maestra che, sul finire della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, si sente in dovere di realizzare qualcosa di concreto in risposta a quanto sta accadendo. Trento, 1943. Mentre fa lezione nella sua classe elementare, Chiara Lubich (Cristiana Capotondi), insegnante poco più che ventenne, è costretta a interrompere la spiegazione per mettere in salvo i bambini da un bombardamento aereo. Cessato il pericolo, la giovane si ritrova a vagare per le strade martoriate di Trento ed è proprio in quel momento, tra i resti di una città che sta scomparendo e la sofferenza dei feriti, che vede, forse per la prima volta, la violenza distruttiva della guerra. Dopo l'armistizio dell’8 settembre le cose peggiorano ulteriormente: il paese è ormai fuori controllo, suo fratello si unisce ai partigiani per combattere in prima linea e il futuro di coloro che le sono accanto diviene improvvisamente incerto. Quando tutto sembra perduto, la giovane si imbatte in una statua della Madonna e si sente chiamata a consacrarsi a Dio, l'unica certezza che non può crollare sotto il peso delle bombe.
In compagnia delle sue fedeli amiche, Chiara decide di vivere seguendo concretamente il Vangelo, creando insieme a loro un primo focolare basato su un unico principio: fare in modo "che tutti siano uno", proprio come recita il suo versetto preferito. Attorno ai suoi ideali di unità e fratellanza universale si radunano sempre più persone e il suo diventa un movimento, il Movimento dei Focolari. Ma la personalità e le idee della giovane maestra pongono su di lei l'occhio critico della società del tempo e non solo perché è una donna. Presto, infatti, sarà chiamata a doversi confrontare con il Sant'Uffizio e a superare la prova più difficile di tutte, lasciare la guida dei Focolari...
