Storing and Sharing Videos

For this class I am going to recommend that you put your video in some kind of cloud storage site so that it can be accessed easily with a link. Although you can upload videos to Canvas and other LMS platforms, a link is easier to share than a large video file.

The default location for videos online has to be YouTube. It is the world's largest video sharing website and it gets billions of views every day. Better still, if you have a school Google account, then you already have a YouTube account, because Google owns YouTube.

If that seems a little intimidating, don't worry. YouTube lets you choose the sharing permissions for your video. They can be public (everyone can view), unlisted (only people with the link can view), or private (only you can view or select people you invite by email).

Other places you can share and upload videos include but are not limited to, Google Drive, Vimeo, OneDrive, or Dropbox. You will be required to share videos in this class, so please make sure that you know where your videos are stored so they can be accessed later when you need them.
